If your activities are closer in the convention center, it is very walkable.Drury Inn & Suites Columbus Convention Center offers 180 accommodations with coffee/tea makers and hair dryers. Plus being elderly and having a hip replacement 2 months ago didn't help. The Drury is located at the extreme south part of the center, connected to the food court, and all of my convention events were in the extreme north part of the center. The only downside I can think of about my stay is the distance I had to walk. I didn't try the pool since we were busy at the convention center. The staff was beyond great, especially Benjamin who checked me in and Natasha who was able to extend my stay after my flight was canceled. I'm a Hilton Honors member as well as IHG and I miss that in those hotels. My 8th floor room was comfortable and super clean, and the best part is that housekeeping "refreshes" your room everyday!! No need to scrounge for towels, bathroom cleaned, beds made, etc. What can I say, free food which was good, especially the chicken alfredo. The new breakfast/5:30 kickback area opened while we were there and it is beautiful. This was my first time at the Drury Columbus Convention Center, but it won't be my last!! Even with the construction, my well traveled nephew said it was the cleanest hotel he has been in.
